Make some noise!
New Year's Eve is more of an adult's holiday, with the drinking and the staying up late. But kids like to participate too, so let's find some fun for them!
The best part of New Year's Eve from a kid's perspective is the noisemakers and fireworks. Many kid's crafts for this holiday focus on that aspect:
New Year's Eve is also about the big countdown, which makes it a great way to teach your little ones about how to read a clock. You can make a sort of hourly paper bag advent calendar, and paper plate clocks to help them count down to the big moment.
Or do what my friends do – they have their young kids celebrate New Year's Eve at 6PM, because they are kids and don't really know the difference – then my friends put their kids to bed and proceed to have grown-up fun! (Beer and Netflix.)
