Winter can be depressing. The cold, the dark, the ice. Here is a little craft project to turn that icy cold weather to your advantage and add some glamorous lighting to those dark days. Ice Candles
- You will need two similar containers, one of which must fit inside the other.
- Fill the larger container about 1/4 full with water. Tap water will work, but still mineral water will result in a crystal clear candle.
- Now insert the second container into the first. Place a couple of bands of tape across the top of the containers to stop the smaller one from simply floating on the water.
- The water should now be in the space between the large and small containers, in a 'moat'. If you want an ice base to your candle, make sure there is water underneath the smaller container. Gradually add more water until it reaches about 3/4 of the way up the sides.
